Phone Communication, Part 1

In the age where machines really do look like they might take over the world, art is being shaped by continually evolving technology. Galleries are having photography exhibitions of people who take pictures and film festivals are putting out calls for artists who create movies -- all on their mobile phones. People are moving from documenting their thoughts in Blogs, using words, to documenting everyday life through Phlogs or Moblogs, using pictures. Phone Communication, Part 1 of 3 was created to comment on society’s adaptation to the immediate effect that mobile phones have on life for a ten-day period, July 15 – July 25, 2004.
