Emerging Digerati Planning Luncheon
Thursday, July 10, 2008, 11:30 AM to 1 PM
Location: 104 Murphy Hall [map]
For the past six seasons, ED has brought together talented and innovative digital artists, designers, musicians, architects, technicians, gamers, roboticians, traffic engineers, archeologists…well, you name it. This monthly “showcase of cutting edge work” has been an opportunity to hear from the creative minds working in digital technology all across the campus.
In June 08, the Star Tribune’s Art Erdman commented on the ED series, “"I see so much talent, but how do you bring all of these people together?" He could not have phrased it any better. Now after six seasons, the Emerging Digerati series needs YOUR INPUT for new direction, inspiration, and what you need!
The Institute for New Media Studies would like to invite you to a brainstorming lunch session for the Emerging Digerati series. We’d like to hear your ideas on how we might re-think the format, improve the participation, and revitalize the mission. This is a ONE TIME commitment and a chance for you to help steer us in the direction to what the community needs. Best of all, how can you turn down a free lunch?
We know summertime is a hard time for scheduling, so we are offering three options for a lunch /discussion from 11:30-1 p.m. and hope you will be able to make one of them.
